I am a teacher who enjoys varying my teaching so a student learns both the subject we are working on and the importance of the subject. I try to change the way I teach each subject, so students retain the information. I feel that I am able to take a lesson and not only make it more understandable for a student, but also teach it in a fun and different way. I also enjoy incorporating tablets and computers into my teaching as I have a lot of experience with using technology.For the past six years, I have taught special education with a focus on working with elementary and junior high students. I have taught a wide variety of subjects, including math, reading, social studies, science, computer skills, and writing. I am also comfortable tutoring a number of AP classes in history, geography, and government. I hold a bachelor's degree from DePaul University, and earned my teaching certification through Roosevelt University's post-graduate program.When I am not teaching, I am a die-hard baseball fan. I enjoy listening to and playing music, and I love spending time with my 4-year-old son.
